adding to food
Does anyone add anything to food, low salt gravy or anything?
We changed Neeko ' s food to grain free, but its only available in 1 flavour until the next stage. 1+
I don't know if he's got sore teeth currently or going off the same taste but he currently isn't wolfing it down as normal.
We mix mackerel in with his food on sat and he sometimes gets chicken mixed in on wed, he also gets his share of the Sunday beef. (None of it touches the sides as he can't eat it fast enough )
I don't want to mix in anything that's bad for him, but something to add an extra appeal would be great.
I admit he is spoiled with his grain free food, his onken for desert and now his lamb ribs. But he's not overweight and looks healthy.

Re: adding to food
How old is Neeko now ? His teeth could be an issue.
TBH, I wish Nifty didn’t wolf her food down so as long as he is eating enough to keep a correct weight, I personally wouldn’t worry too much on how fast he’s eating it.
Nifty often gets “added extras” to her kibble (with kibble quantity reduced accordingly).
I add tinned sardines or egg or minced beef or a bit of plain yoghurt or cooked chicken or shrimps ... It’s not every meal but from time to time to give a bit of variety, not to interfere too much with the quality kibble which is supposed to be balanced as is.

He's 8 month. My main concern, well not really a concern was he just seems bored with the same dry food.
He was 16.45kg when weighed for his worming tablet last week. According to what I can make out on the guide, this is the upper end of the scale according to the breed standard(14 - 17kg for a male). But he doesn't look massive or overweight. I shall get some pics later, as he was playing with the ducks at my parents house earlier and it will probs make some funny pics.

Re: adding to food
I’d love to see more photos of Neeko
I also try to vary Nifty’s food, plus adding egg or sardine can help with a nice coat too.
I believe that as long as you’re feeding the best feed you can find/afford/compatible, the rest is really playing by ear and making small adjustments if necessary. You have probably got the right balance for Neeko

I’m no expert and hard to tell but I personally don’t think so

Re: adding to food
He's really lovely, isn't he?
You could try adding a little raw meat to his food (mixing the two isn't a problem). You can get frozen complete dog food from most of the large pet stores. Personally I would recommend Nutriment or Benyfit - they are probably the two best raw mixes available.
You might even find that you want to change over to raw exclusively with either of these mixes - they're really good!
If you don't want to do that you could drizzle over a little salmon oil (about a teaspoon full) which might tempt him.
