Billys latest update
Feels strange to be posting here in "other" and not the staffy
Anyway, Billy has been a little down since about 3 days before Lexis passing, but he perked up a bit after a few days mentally wise. We assume they had had a "chat" and he was feeling down for her, then he was sad after she passed.
But physically he went down hill quite a lot more than we would have expected, and a trip to the vets showed he has horners syndrome in his eye and quite bad arthritis in his hips. I suppose having lexi to beat to the dinner table made him have more get up and go than he actually had!
Anywho, hes now on eyedrops and painkillers for that and on a STRICT diet (hes put on 7kg since being neutered after we rescued him!)
He wasn't best pleased at the vets..he had a nail trim too so after being poked and prodded he gave up and refused to do life anymore
In the waiting room he saw a cat. How dare it!
Since hes been a bit lonely, we now have a playday on Sunday coming up with a friends dog, which i think he will really enjoy. He will hopfully be feeling more comfortable, so able to play.

When they've had such a close bond it's only natural that he's going to miss his fur buddy. Sounds like you've got him back on the right track with the meds.
Hope he has loads of fun on his play day

Aww, poor Billy, he must be lonely.
What's Horner's Syndrome - not something I've heard of, although I daresay I'll find info if I google it!

Re: Billys latest update
Yeah it just randomly came on! We ruled out any illness/injury for it so its just one of those "came on without known cause" type ones. So we hope it will jsut go away with the help of the eyedrops.
The loxicom is definitely making an impact he is moving about more and gettin up and down better. All good things
