Potatoes! Empty Potatoes!

Post by MattsBabe7 Wed Sep 20 2017, 18:00

My last dog, a Doberman cross Collie, used to love chomping on the odd potato.
If I was peeling them I'd save her a few peelings and add it in with her food or if I had a small ish one I'd give it to her as a treat.

Just wondering if Staffies are okay with potatoes?
I did read that potatoes aren't harmful to dogs!

Potatoes, in themselves, aren't a problem.

The skins, however, aren't so great from what I've read.

I remember someone telling me once that raw potatoes weren't good, but i don't know how true that is.

Oh no! Now I feel terrible :-(
All Those years I gave them to my Raz-Dog!

They didn't seem to do her any harm and she did go crazy for them ... :-(

It's like a lot of things, we learn as we go.

There are so many things we USED to do, that we now know aren't right. Don't beat yourself up!

Okay, so if cooked are fine I may just have to treat him to a mini roast dinner on Sunday.

I'm feeling rather guilty about his snip on Monday ... Poor guy!
