Salmon and potato diet
Hello!
So, I don't know huge amounts about nutrition, but have recently changed Bug's food and wondered if anybody had any thoughts about the change.
Bug has sensitive skin and I generally like her to be on as high a quality in diet as possible due to her not being raw fed any more (lack of £ and freezer space). Until recently she has been fed Wainwrights trays (duck, Lamb or turkey). Her skin looked great but she was pooing 3-4 times a day and they were always harder than I'd like and pellets (Bug tends to be constipated rather than a frequent pooper!)
I tried her on the salmon and potato Wainwrights to see and her skin is still great, but she is now only pooing once a day and it looks much better in texture and colour, more comfortable for her to pass etc and no smelly wind!
My question is, if a solely salmon and potato diet is good for a dog nutritionally and should I be substituting?

Re: Salmon and potato diet
I'm no expert but with raw we have to make sure Gus gets a % of offal and bone. They have to have to have this to get the nutrients they need. I'm not sure if salmon alone would give enough nutrients. Again I'm no expert but it's what I've read whilst doing research.

Re: Salmon and potato diet
I feed Katy Wainwrights kibble & she thrives on it I get her 2 flavours at a time & alternate them then get the other 2. I must admit she loves the salmon & rice & duck best If Bug is doing well keep her on it x
