Difference between red and fawn colouring ?
Nifty was sold as being fawn and although I asked the question on the difference between red and fawn, I was told that it was the same thing but red was supposed to be added marketable value as rarer.
My internet searches have only led to the possibility that reds are darker and fawn lighter shades of "chestnut"
So in reality, Nifty is closer to red than fawn ?

I'm no expert but Nifty looks red to me, too dark for fawn I think! Beautiful anyway

Re: Difference between red and fawn colouring ?
she looks like a Red Smut to me - ie red with dark markings around her muzzle, ears &, I would guess, her tail.
red isn't rare, but a good, deep red like Nifty us harder to breed. Fawn is a dilute of red, the same as blue is a dilute of black.

Thank you all for your nice comments
I suppose Nifty's colouring around muzzle, along back and tail are a deeper red but I've also seen staffies with a black mask - that's not her case. Whatever her colour, I love her all the same.
