Does anyone use a tracker collar and if so what would you recommend? Thanks

Re: Tracker collar
i think Garmin do one, and they are a very good name. I would think it'd be pretty expensive, though.

Re: Tracker collar
I found this dog gps tracker while scrolling down in another forum and was wondering if this is ok. https://buytrackimo.myshopify.com/products/trackimo-mini-dog-tracker-cat-tracker?_ga=2.76916821.1540515472.1505110460-1651004321.1500275774

Re: Tracker collar
Silly question, but why you need one (that's 'you' as in anyone)? Surely you should know where your dog is without a tracker collar?

Re: Tracker collar
I'm guessing it's if they were to get out or get lost.. Hank has been getting over our front wall if we let him out to do his business but now we've changed it so he goes out the back where he can't get out.

I take my pup to work with me, it’s a big place with lots of disctactions eg rabbits, deer, birds cats ect. It’s more of a ‘just in case’. I also live out in the middle of knowwhere, my house backs onto farmers fields that go on and on, she has escaped out of my garden a few times, I fix where she’s getting out, think I’ve sorted it then she manages to squeeze out of another tiny gap (I have post and rail fencing with wire running round he bottom) but it’s been up 15 years so some of it isn’t secure. So for me it’s more peace of mind.

Re: Tracker collar
Ok, that makes sense. The only thing I'd caution is that collars can get caught on things so there is a risk element of leaving them on. Just something to bear in mind.
