Collar Q's
what are the 'best' collars for a staffy ?
I have several for Diesel but not wholely confident if they are the right type or strong enough....had to stop walking her with her harness as it rubbed on her hystiocytoma [lump] so, looking for a STRONG recommended collar that can withstand a pulling staffy ! [and im not keen on the super wide leather studded staffy collars]
ty
p.s also - are short leads ideal ?

Re: Collar Q's
This is the collar we use on Rocky. It is very smart looking and just a plain black leather collar. Would recmmend if you dont like the wide collars.

Re: Collar Q's
I use a Rogz webbing half check collar it is as wide as the one in Beau's pictures and works just fine - no pulling. I must admit to having used the Halti bridle type with this for about 3 weeks before. I also used a full check chain in the early days at training.

Re: Collar Q's
I recently bough Dora a new bigger collar. It is an Ancol one. She pulls on it also, but it has withstood it so far. I also think it looks smart and it is slightly padded on the inside so it seems really comfy for her and for my fingers when if I have to hold her back etc.
I'll see if I can find a link...
I think it's this one. I got it from my local pet shop. http://www.ancolpetproducts.co.uk/show.php?itemid=&groupid=DOCLINMC&colour=20

Re: Collar Q's
I have been looking into getting a new collar for Tinkerbell. Found an Ezy collar I like on ebay, so once I have decided whether to go for the pink or red one, then I will buy it for her! Not sure what it is like though for walking, but she either walks on her harness or halti because she pulls so badly otherwise!

Re: Collar Q's
How about these? http://dog-games-shop.co.uk/fleece-lined-dog-collar/size-7-fleece-collar-43-49cm I have their harness, but the collars look good and metal hardware! It's important that the collar is nice and wide to reduce the risk of injury to the neck if there's a sudden jolt.
