Staffs are just as friendly as any other dog

Took Jett out this morning for his usual run around on the local field and as usual because of his appearance everyone was giving me dirty looks and pulling their dogs and children along.
there are the odd few people who love Jett and run over to stroke him.
As i was walking along our usual path Jett spotted a man walking towards us with 2 blue staffs and a little pup,well Jett went mental and wanted to play.we spent a good 35-40 minutes just letting them run around playing with each other while all the other dog walkers looked on in disgust.
when we finally left and walked further along another man with a staffy came walking towards us.She was the lovliest staffy ever,she was really gentle and didn't seem to care even when Jett was having a quick munch on her leg. xD This just goes to show that not all staffys are "dangerous" My jett can be dangerous....he'll lick you to death!!

Awww i love seeing them play w/other staffies!! .. you look at people who look at you in disgust feel like saying "oh look at that, my staffs are PLAYING with another staffy *GASP*" lol.
Any dog can be dangerous, but people dont think about that do they .. i got pinned in a kennel i worked at by a GREYHOUND lol!

I personally believe that westies and yorkies are the spawn of Satan !! Evil little whipper snappers lol x

I agree amy,i worked at a boarding kennel and on two occasions westies went for me. vicious little bugs!!

glad to here he had a good time mine plays with all dogs but the owners do panic when he runs towards them it makes them laff when he gets barked at because he runs away no matter how big or small the dog

When out and about with or without my dogs, its ALWAYS the little ankle biters that go for people! i hate em, just buy a cat and be done with it !!

i was always told by tutor's at college that are ex vets Shar pei's are the worst for been nasty nippers

I'd say staffs with the right upbringing are THE MOST friendky breed of dog. Muggle is a year old now and has never showed anything resembling aggression to another dog or person. In fact, as often or not she gets a telling off or a nip from other dogs because she's too excitable and playful for them. Some peoples opinions of staffs are upsetting and whats more upsetting is the people who raise their staffs in such a way that reinforces peoples negative opinions of the breed. Stupid people.

I would love a staffy mate for Milly when Masey comes my brothers staff Milly loves it she got so excited once she weed

a similar situation as mine last nite, i was walkin Jemma, and about 3 or 4 ppl walked passed us as far away as they possibly cud, and 1 man actually PICKED his dog up!!
Jemma does pull when she sees other dogs, but her tail waggs, shes jus very excited and wants to play.

same here, Suki thinks it is her God given right to interact with every dog she sees even if it is a smaller breed that acts aggressively she wants to go give them a kiss.

Jett is indeed a sounds like he had fun. It's true they can be very "dangerous" and one way they can do that is show you love by licking you to death!! very dangerous right?? (Not really)

I got some 20ft Long leads for mine (paid £9.90 for both delivered off ebay)
gonna wait for the OH to get in and take em out =D i cant wait
