The dreaded D word
Saxon & Rebel were enjoying a lovely hyper mode play at the park today. Two weeks are passed since Rebel's 2nd jab so my wee guy is just loving getting out short walks & meeting dogs. He is such a little star walking perfect on his lead. Anyway a lady i know a bit informed me I was going to have issues with the dogs because Rebel was growling at Saxon. Apparently he is trying to dominate. Well I felt myself get annoyed & felt a big speech coming lol. But I decided just to smile & say thanks for advice. All I saw was a puppy having a great play & Saxon enjoying himself too

Ah what a little stunner! Euegh I hate the D word, you definitely did the right thing by smiling and ignoring it. Puppies play and Staffies love playing loudly

Re: The dreaded D word
Thanks. Yes I hate that word too. How anyone can apply it to such a young puppy is beyond me. He was being vocal but only in play

Re: The dreaded D word
Rebel didn't like the car much,he still looks a bit worried when he goes in initially. He seems to like it more now. Sometimes we just get in car for a treat then get out, maybe that is helping.

That's a great set of pics Laura. You did the right thing by not replying, funny how people in the street can suddenly become experts about Staffy puppies

Re: The dreaded D word
He's just being a staffie & having fun As for the car you are doing right by getting him in for a treat & not going anywhere. He will learn that by getting in it will lead to nice things like treats or fun places to walk & play
The spaniels I walk aren't keen on their car, Jess is always sick but I put it down to the fact that the only time she is put in it is to go to the nasty old vet for needles or when she was spayed! They never take her anywhere nice & fun

Re: The dreaded D word
Thanks Ian, luckily I usually get lovely comments about my little land shark lol. Thanks Jen, I took the dogs to a fun park yesterday so hopefully Rebel knows sometimes the car is for fun. He is definitely liking it more every time. We are going to the vets to pick up wormer,go on the scales & give him treats so he knows it's not always jabs etc

We went round the block just now and saw a Rottweiler puppy,he was huge. Wee Rebel was all waggy tailed & friendly. He loves seeing other dogs
