Hi all, Tony, Anita and Bentley here. We are new to the site. Bentley is our lovely 16 week old Blue Staffy. He is quite a handful, very playful and loving. A real live-wire, loves his walks in the woods, the only problem is that he keeps stopping and thinks that everyone should fuss him, which mostly they do. If they don't he sits and wines hoping that they will come back and fuss him. We appear to be going through the "terrible two's" stage at the moment, he is just looking for things to do, being mischievous and nipping a little, although this is getting better. He will be starting puppy classes at the weekend so hopefully we will get some tips. Any advice or tips that anyone may have will always be welcome.

Welcome the puppy classes are a great start. Consistency and routine is also good. Any nipping/biting redirect to a toy. Any training sessions id keep to a mnimum of 10 minutes any more and they tend to get bored. Reward good behaviour if you feel the need to scold them use a level even firm tone. All the family do the exact same with the dog regarding training so as not to confuse him. Enjoy your pup and welcome to the forum any problems just shout someone will be more than happy to help you Smile

Hi & Welcome to the Forum from Flo and me Big Grin

And let the fun begin, sounds like Bentley is getting on great and settling in just fine. Puppy classes are excellent, he'll learn loads and you'll learn far more than you realise. You really can't socialise him enough at this early age, the more you do the more he'll be comfortable with other dogs.

Look forward to seeing some pics Wink
