staffys watching TV
Is it a staffy thing to watch TV? none of my family dogs have ever taken any notice of the TV even when dogs bark on it and even when they were puppies.
Russell often just stands and stares at the picture especially when its a wildlife show, and gets even more excited if theres animal noises!

Dare I admit to this but Sophie's two favourite programmes are Four in a bed and Come Dine with Me
She watches all the food being prepared and when each person is greeted she is up at the TV wagging like mad
She did go through a phse of watching horse racing, but doesn't appear to be too keen on the wildlife programmes

Four in a bed is on Channel 4 at 5pm daily.

Hope the link works
Again, Sophie likes the food element as well as when they all greet each other.

I was watchng the dog whisperer today and russell was staring at the tv doing little huff-huff-huff noises which were followed by a big bark, which sent my parents dogs running for the front door assuming someone was there!

Jett loves watching Police camera action. When I get up in the morning I give him his breakfast and put the hoobs on for him....there's a riot if I don't let him watch the hoobs.
Re: staffys watching TV
Winston is always watching the tv.. I think all the movement and colour catches his eyes.. Tonight we were watching Harry's Practise ( a vet show ) there was a bad tempered cat being groomed.. it started snarling and hissing and Winston's ears went up.. he stared at the tv.. then started growling and barking at it !!
Hey ...I didn't know that Bondi Vet was on over there.. he is abit of a spunk isn't he !!

So far, Violet seems to like Law &Order (svu in particular), any kind of action movies and Jason Derulo videos. We tried watching some foreign language films, but she must be xenophobic, because she wasn't having any of it.

Re: staffys watching TV
Tali is a nightmare, if anything alive comes on the screen she gets up, stands with her front feet on the wall and growls and barks at the TV. Fingers crossed I have nearly gotten her out of it. Its funny though, its like she thinks the animals are invading her territory. Skibadee never used to bother, she would watch TV but didnt get worked up about it, until Tali encouraged her. Now she jumps up too but doesn't really bark!

Re: staffys watching TV
Cody isn't really too bothered by ours but we have a projector on the wall rather than a tv in the living room.
My dads dog on the other hand loves to watch telly, especially sports with a ball. If the football is on and the ball goes of screen he runs round the back of the tv to "find it"

laineybell that tiger is one of the first things I ever bought when I left school and got a job.... I put it on layby and it still has the date sticker inside it.. I have had it for about 29 years.. and it has survived a move from South Australia to Western Australia!!
