Fed up of breedism
*RANT* So ive been looking up holidays in this country so I don't have to leave my baby behind. Just about to book one in Isle of Wight with hoseasons and low and behold in the small print, dogs that are not permitted. Of course the staffordshire bull terrier is right up there along with rotties, dobes and alsations. It annoys me so much that they are not even a banned breed and are probably one of the most affectionate dogs you will find. From experience I've found its the little yapping fur balls that cause the conflict but God forbid your staffy let's them know it's not ok because after all they are devil dogs so it's always their fault. I don't want to leave him so I have told the kids no holidays for the next 13 years sorry. If only these places could see him now curled up in a ball snoring, more of a danger to himself than anyone else! Makes me sooooooooo angry! *RANT OVER*

Re: Fed up of breedism
Thanks I know there are many people out here that know there true nature. These people who use them as status dogs are just as stupid. The only reason these dogs attack is because they're loyal and obedient so if you train them and ask them to attack they will because they want to please you, the ones who are brought up right are more scared of us than we are of them. In France they are classed as guard dogs, don't make me laugh the only thing they guard is food. These dogs need to come with a serious warning. BEWARE MAY LICK YOU TO DEATH!

We always took ours camping or caravaning, but now we are older we have a motor home and it works well, dogs on leads are usually welcome on camp sites
Some privately rented cottages allow dogs too, it's worth looking around.

Re: Fed up of breedism
Hi ya, welcome to the forum from Flo and me
I didn't realise that Hoseasons had a clause like that we've not been to one of those sites since my kids are older and we didn't have Flo when they were younger but I'm still surprised.
There are loads of cottage lets where you can take Staffies, we are in one right now in the beautiful Forest of Dean and have taken Flo to many cottages over the last few years, just google dog friendly cottages and you'll be fine, not so good if you've got little uns that would have enjoyed the kids clubs though.
I move your post from the galleries as there isn't a picture of you ranting

Re: Fed up of breedism
We take our dogs to France with us without any problem. It's much easier to find places that will take more than 2 dogs there and we've not had any adverse reactions from anyone.
If Hoseasons is daft about staffies, just take your business elsewhere. There are plenty of other options
