Toys? No thanks. Advice requested
My staffie is a rescue dog, 13 mos, had her less than a week.
If I fill a KONG with peanut butter, she'll lick it out and then I don't know where it is now.
Rawhide, she'll take one down but now I heard they are bad. She's buried half of them already.
Tug Rope, picked it up once and ran around the yard
Stuffed animal, same thing.
Balls - ZERO interest
Nylabone - I can stick it in her mouth but she'll just drop it
She buries and backfills stuff, not sure if she' storing them or just putting them to rest.
Trying to find something that will occupy her time alone or just to have fun with.
Any suggestions?

Are you in the UK? If so, have a watch of this episode of the Channel 4 documentary Rescue Dog to Super Dog. They deal with the same sort of issue, and show one way of dealing with it.

But... I wouldn't stress about it. The more you try and force the issue, the more you risk making it worse as she responds to the pressure. I'd give her a good couple more weeks of letting her settle before you try any training for this. And if she doesn't ever get the hang of toys, again don't stress. It's not the end of the world as long as she is otherwise happy.

My girl used to love tennis balls to rip up but takes zero notice of them now!! She does like rope toys but will only play with her Stix when out on walks
They are strange dogs, sometimes they love something other times you ask why you bother but as Liz says above, don't make a deal out of it, she'll settle on something eventually that she simply won't put down.

My Staffy gets very bored of her toys quickly if we do not interact with her. Maybe you need to make the toy seem more exciting by shaking it throwing it grabbing it, your staffy will soon think this is fun & will associate the toy with having fun with you & so become more interested in the toy as they like nothing better then interacting with their humans & it is a great way of bonding & introducing training techniques. She will then maybe be more interested in the toy when she is alone, although my staffy will play with her kong until its empty then just goes to sleep if we leave her... we spy on her on a web cam.
