What food do you use?
Just realised today I've been feeding Eccles the wrong food. He is on James Wellbelived but only noticed I bought puppy by mistake instead of junior. He was 1 yesterday so needs to move to adult now anyway. So far we have tried Select Gold, awful flatulence, Gain, he hated it and the JW which is fine, wondering if I should stick to that or is there a better alternative?

Are you hoping to continue with dry or try something totally different? I feed Wainwrights wet trays

I'd prefer to stay with the dry stuff.

I kind of feel bad giving only dry food, seems so boring, but not sure I could stomach th smell of the other, I don't eat meat myself. What's Royal Canin like?

I don't eat meat but feed raw. The things you do for love... Oddly, it doesn't smell nearly as bad as tinned/tray food, but you do have to be fairly brave if you're a veggie!
Many, many, many dogs are quite happy on dried food. If that's all your stomach can cope with, don't stress too much. Just make sure that you're feeding a good quality one and you'll be ok.

Royal Canin is rubbish.. Don't believe whatever your vet says when trying to sell it to you this website is great for comparing foods/ingredients http://www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk
I don't feed dry for that reason - I also like the high meat content of the wet trays (65% as opposed to the usual 10% in dry foods).

Re: What food do you use?
My Buddy is really fussy, but I feed him on Millies Wolfheart kibble its grain free and the people there are so helpful, they do different flavours with different % of ingredients to suit your dog, they do sample packs that you can try of 200g only cost a couple of pounds if you email them and give your dogs weight age and exercise routine they will recommend what ones to try they are slightly dearer than some makes but you do not need to feed as much of them due to the content so it works out about the same as the food lasts longer ..if Buddy will eat it then it has to be good I think I have tried every kibble on the market ! this is the link

I'm just switching everyone to Millie's Wolfheart as well, Carol.
My goodness but kibble has come on over the last few years.

I now feed only chicken and rice, because my little old Lexi was diagnosed with IBS and this is the only food that does not mess with her. I don't recommend it for a pup lol

Re: What food do you use?
Una's on Eden just now which is great, 80/20/0 mix with no grains, but at the end of this pack I think I'll be moving over to Millie's Wolfheart - they don't use chicken or egg as well as avoiding grains and use DPD for deliveries so I can make sure I'm in

Harley is on skinners duck and rice he also has a few fork fulls of natures menu or james well belloved pouches mixed in. We also give raw egg, chicken and oily fish. Tried wainwrights and few others but skinners were the only brand where he doesnt stink and doesnt poo as often
