Hi guys what's the best way to start socialising skye? My last bitch attacked other females but perfectly behaved with boys, I don't want that to happen again x

The best thing is puppy classes, you'll learn almost as much as Skye will with behaviour etc. Socialisation is really important so that she learns that other dogs aren't a threat and can be great fun Smile

puppy classes are good as long as they are run properly, with structure - not just a free-for-all.

try and make sure that all her meetings with other dogs/puppies are good xperiences by checking with the other owner first if their dog is good with others.

Check with your vets as well, some do puppy parties to get them started.

Also note that they're socialisation period is very short, roughly from 3-12 weeks of age, so if you're waiting for vaccines etc do you have any friends with vaccinated dogs that could come to your house to meet and play with Skye?

This is a brilliant post:
