Taking jango out
So because my vets injections not being compatible with jango first lot I have had to have them all re done he has had his second lot and can now go out on paved areas so day before yesterday I took him out for a toilet etc and spent 1 hour and 20 minutes outside and he would not go I'm wondering if he has settled with going in doors because as soon as we got in he went on his mat.
I'm annoyed at myself that I couldn't get to the vets he had his first ones at as he would have been able to go out sooner but they were just too far away.
Maybe I'm just worrying over nothing but he just wouldn't go outside but he hasn't been to the toilet outside at all since I could take him out on Tuesday

Re: Taking jango out
Have you not trained him to go outside? Generally, it's best only to use the mats for a very short term as somewhere for your pup to use in case of emergency, but to start taking them out regularly, especially first thing and after meals, straight away.
If he's used to going on mats only, it might take a bit of work to retrain him. He's only doing what he thinks is right. I'd suggest going back to the basics of taking him just outside straight after each meal, but take a mat with you. Don't go too far and, for the time being, maybe keep to somewhere familiar like the garden or somewhere similar close to home, so he can feel relaxed.

Re: Taking jango out
liz's advice is good.
also, take him out IMMEDIATELY you get up in the morning - he should be really bursting to go & will be more inclined to do hs business outside.

I would also suggest moving a mat outside if he's using them reliably inside and when he uses or goes on it outside give loads of praise. It shouldn't take too long before he gets the idea
