Hello from us and jango
Hi new to the forum and new to owing a staffy pup we have just got jango.
He is a blue staff pups and we have been waiting for weeks for him to be old enough for us to be able to bring him home.
I haven't really had a pup of this age before so just getting used to the weeing and pooping on the floor and his bed just keep washing his bed and toys everyday.
Did try and put a pic in here but not sure how to do that.
Thanks for reading and any tips etc will be greatly received thankyou again

Re: Hello from us and jango
Hi & Welcome to the Forum from Flo and me
Toilet training can be a real pain but if you're consistent Jango will get the idea pretty quickly. Every few hours take him outside and wait until he does what comes naturally and then praise, praise, praise... And maybe a treat or two.
If he has an accident indoors, clean the area with a deodorising cleaner and make no fuss about it. By ignoring it you'll not put out any mixed messages.
You can post a picture straight to your avatar by going to the profile tab at the top of the page and then select the Avatar tab, the rest is self explanatory

Re: Hello from us and jango
Thankyou for the replies.
We can't take jango out just yet as he needs his second set of injections so we are trying the training mats etc at the moment if he toilets somewhere we are cleaning the area but then putting a pad there so if he do goes back we can then praise him so he will learn that. As soon as we can take home out he will be out for walks at least 4 times a day aswell as toilet time too.
But all we can do for now is clean up and wash his bed everyday so he will get used to it I know they are very clever and learn quickly.

Hi from me and mine too
Do you have a garden you can taken Jango into? That would be fine even before jabs. Anywhere you don't come into contact with non-vaccinated dogs is ok. If you can take him out, it will help him understand from early on that he needs to go outside. Once he has the habit of going inside it'll be harder to change later.

Yeah sorry had a stupid moment then yes we can take him out there no issue with that. I just don't want to get him to that point where we can't break him of it.
I have know of dogs before that have refused to go to the toilet outside and wait until they get inside to go not what we want at all.

Thankyou yes we fell in love with him as soon as we saw him.
He loves a cuddle maybe a little too much.
I will get some more pictures up of him when I can link them as for some reason my profile picture won't load the right way round.
