Advice Please

Hi, Got Bella spayed on Thursday. Shes been doing fine but had her back at the vets this afternoon. she has a build up of fluid beside her wound, and has basically been told total bedrest for the next few days. Really worried about her. Has this happened to anyone else. I've put puppy pads down on the house so she doesn't even have to go into the garden. Is there anything else I can do for her?

It can happen with any op Laura

I think all you can do is keep her rested as much as possible until the wound is healed over

It's a really good excuse for extra snuggles

That's true, she's got no option at the minute, not letting her move, not that she's worried at the minute

How is she in herself ?

oh shes absolutely fine. Its a nightmare when she decides she wants to play. I'm following her round like a shadow to make sure she doesn't jump or go up stairs

Yeah it's a nightmare trying to stop a Staffy running and jumping

It'll all be good in a few days hopefully

Don't forget you can pop her on the lead, Laura. It's a really easy way of limiting what they can do.

Glad to hear she's bouncing back after the op, though

And you so know she'll be angling to jump around or run up the stairs as soon as you look the other way
