Need help with farting dog.
I have a 1 year old male blue staff. I feed him harringtons biscuits twice a day and in the morning it has a pro biotic sprinkled on it. In the evening after his tea he has a denta-stick. This is all he eats. He is well exercised and i look after him. He poos twice a day roughly and they look healthy. The problem is he farts all the time and they stink. Really sulphur smelling. It makes me feel sick at times and the house can bloody stink at time. Any one have any ideas please?

Re: Need help with farting dog.
Hi ya Kenny, welcome to the Forum from Flo & me
I'm afraid the stink is all down to diet. What makes one Staffy smell like a sewer won't affect another as much so it's a trial and error exercise to find which quality food suits your Rory

Was thinking of trying charcoal tablets, has anyone used them?

You can give charcoal tabs but not on a regular basis. I'm no expert but Google threw up this handy link:-

Re: Need help with farting dog.
As said it is all about diet. The denta stix would be the first thing i would stop giving to be honest! Then i would play with different brands of food that you can afford to give. I found a huge difference with wainwrights grain free (not normal wainwrights) but my dogs poorly at the moment and only on chicken and rice (which shes also not very farty with) so i can't say the wainwrights didn't cause it until shes back to normal and i try it again.
