Arthritis
Hi all i posted on here some 6 weeks ago about my dogs showing signs of arthritis in his front leg and i was advised by my vet to put my dog on a supplement. I was very grateful of the help i received on this forum when i asked for suggestions of what supplements to use. I went for "yu move" he has been on them 6 weeks i'm still waiting for them to kick in, my question today is what else would you guys be doing to aid this problem for my dog? should i be adding maybe tuna to his diet? i'm very open to help and suggestions on this mater your help will be very appreciated.

Re: Arthritis
Mark, my Flo suffers too and we give her Nutraquin, one capsule a day. Not sure what effect it's having but it certainly isn't doing her any harm.
Tuna would be fine as it contains omega etc and is good for human joints so I guess the same should apply for Dogs.

Re: Arthritis
Tuna is a good option or you could try glucosamine capsules which might help

Re: Arthritis
I was just about to ask the same question on here then saw your post. My Daisy is ten and has arthritis in her legs, I give her glucosamine and chondroitin capsules which seem to be quite good for her. I was wondering if there is any kind of rub or ointment that could be used, like the sort we get nurofen gel but for dogs.
My local vets does a free arthritis clinic, I am going to book Daisy in, so I will come back on here and let people know what they say we can do.
I keep Daisys walks short and sometimes give her the doggy suspension liquid if she is really sore.

Re: Arthritis
I might invest in a headpad as well, but would love to be able to get a gel rub. She has a naughty puppy who sometimes nips her legs as well, but I get him with the water squirter so that puts an end to that. I have to lift her onto the sofa as well bless her poor old girl. She had a cruciate ligament op 8 years ago and has had a stroke which makes her week on her front legs as well. Keep you updated x
