Nice koi Marty !
When we used live in our old house, We had lots Koi fish in a pond, and one of them was called Bruno cos he had what looked like a bruise on top of his head and that's why the previous owner called him Bruno but he used to come up and let you stroke him and feed him. Miss them really but don't tell my Oh

i bet it is i'm not into fish i'm not sure why do the cost so much? is ithe size, the colour or the type?
Re: My pond fish
All 3 really Steve the best are Japanese, then these would be graded AA, A, B, C standards so a Japanese double grade A is the best in colour and markings, size adds value and also the type of koi some are rarer than others and so that increases the value, if you buy smaller fish and wait for them to grow only 2-3 years but you cant guarantee the markings as they do change when they grow

Fantastic
I could sit and watch them for hours........something very calming and relaxing about watching them swim and glide.

Re: My pond fish
Beautiful Koi.
We are not allowed to have koi down here in Tassie which is a shame.
I keep quite a lot of fish, mostly American cichlids and suitable tank mates.
My pride and joy being my 8 foot tank. A fellow cichlid enthusist and myself started a cichlid club down here about 5 years ago and have a forum as well as there was nothing down here for fish freaks like me!
