toilet at night
So since we have got jango we have him sleep in a cage/crate at night so as to eliminate how much mess would be on the floor in the morning.
And everyday except one I have had to wash his bed as he just wees and poos on it. I never really understood stood people say put a mat in the cage which we have but it's his bed so always thought they wouldn't want to mess their bed area so why the mat. But they have to go so I have always done it anyway that just one of those things you read.
But anyways last night I put his bed in there just his bed and toys and left the door open for him and a couple of pads around on the floor woke up this morning expecting it to be everywhere, but there was 2 poos just off the mats and wee also just off the mat. I was so happy with him for that yes I had to clean up but nothing on his bed and he hadn't played in it like I have seen some dogs do before and leave nice foot prints everywhere.
Sorry it's a little long but just had to share it I just hope it isn't a one off but as of the other day we have been taking him outside every so often for it it just the night time to deal with now

Well done, Jango! Sounds like he's getting the hang of it, doesn't it?

Yes very happy now hopefully we can leave his crate open of a night now will try again tonight plus there is just enough room for his bed and a mat in there but I was always told not to buy a huge cage for a puppy.
Anyway fingers crossed we won't need one anyway by the looks of it
