Babble ball Empty Babble ball

Post by Jenc Sat Mar 05 2016, 20:30

On the recommendation from Millie I bought Katy a babble ball. I thought she was going to destroy it as any toy that makes a noise has to die, so far so good.

Yes it's been such a good buy. It's surviving getting Una drool all over it and when Una is getting stubborn or selectively deaf, the babble sound magically restores her hearing resulting in an instant sit then lie down as Una works through all the positions that she thinks will result in getting to play with it Laughing

If you put it to one side it may start up again, so far we've had to dry it out from Una-slobbers and adjust the batteries after she'd battered it quite hard against the skirting board.

Sad I'd certainly give the batteries a go (make sure you get the cheapy ones off ebay as they take 3). One of ours rattles as well be still works.

We've only changed them once since Christmas. They don't have it all the time but still the batteries do seem to last a fair while.

Discovered the next levels of usage:
1) sellotape it inside a cardboard box - had a good five minutes of determined cardboard box "getting into" before Una succeeded in freeing the babble
2) don't throw away the plastic tab, you can put the tab back in to shush it up and carry it on walks for a good focus toy. I'd had to bodge one from a seed sachet
