Babble Ball
You may hate me if you try one of these, but I'm absolutely amazed at how well it's doing so thought I'd share.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pet-Qwerks-TBB2-Talking-Ball-Blue/dp/B000SQTFBQ
We got given a couple of these for Christmas and I was sure they'd die immediately. Both Chaos and Millie adore it, Chaos chases it round and sometimes gives it a little chew before batting it off again, whereas Millie just likes carrying it around. 2 weeks down the line and it's still going strong. Amazing.
It's also guaranteed to drive off any visitors who are outstaying their welcome. Like one of those dreadful musical toys for babies, the voice will drive you nuts. But if the dogs love it, well we just turn a deaf ear.
I wouldn't leave it with them unattended. It has batteries so I wouldn't want them actually breaking into it and swallowing anything, but for lots of fun and happy dogs while you're there, it's turning out to be brilliant.
(earplugs recommended but not included)

Re: Babble Ball
They are fun aren't they! Misty has one, at first she was a bit scared but now she quite likes the noise. It has freaked me out before when she has picked it up out of her toy box and it starts speaking when I'm sat watching tv! Weirdly it's the only toy ever that she hasn't bitten. She just tends to push it round the room with her paws

Re: Babble Ball
I really do think they're missing a trick by not creating ones that are pitched so that only dogs can hear them. Can you imagine how less irritating that would be?

Re: Babble Ball
I just got one delivered for Duke. He's a bit subdued after his op and just stands looking at it, and gives it a little nudge with his nose.
He hasn't tried to bite it or rip it apart....yet

Re: Babble Ball
I'm sure he will try to bite it when he feels better. When Katy got hers she lay on the floor grating it with her teeth but realised it didn't die now she carries it round playing with it

Re: Babble Ball
Maverick had one of these, he loved it, and it is durable.
Our only problem is he loves it too much and massively sets of his prey drive, and he becomes so possessed at trying to kill it.
We get blue saliva and little bits of blue plastic everywhere and unfortunately it can get sharp from his teeth marks. And an absolute nightmare to get off him once the noise gets too much!
Would recommend people try these, although I doubt Mav will be aloud another
