Out walking with the girls today I saw someone in the distance with a dog. Knowing Katy is reactive I popped her on her lead. By the time we got to the spot the woman hadn't moved that far, I recognised her from the village. She was waiting on the other side of the gateway with her jrt, she called out for us to come through the gate. When we did we found her kneeling on the ground, pinning the dog on its back Surprised She asked us to let our dogs sniff hers, we just carried on with our walk (biting my tongue I must say) By the time we had got all the way round the field she had only just waddled to the gate so we met again. So we waited for her to clear the field, following her back down the lane she dragged her dog to the verge & pinned it down again as a boxer was approaching Surprised I don't know what she was trying to teach this dog other than being scared s***less of her. My friend said she had had words before with her when she was dangling a small dog off the floor by its lead Surprised By the way she does dog sitting angry

I hope she hasn't got kids !! How can anyone think that sort of behaviour will teach a dog what's right or wrong Sad

This is abuse. I don't care what some tv personality says ( he is no trainer in my eyes). Absolutely disgusting.

This is why I'm so hesitant to pay for a dog walker or sitter, you don't know what they do when you're not there.

I'm pretty sure Giz'd freak out and snap at someone who did that to him.

Ceasar's just malevolant.

I'd walk Giz for you if you was in my area Big Grin I don't know how she thought pinning it down would stop it wanting to bark at other dogs Surprised Old school training I suppose!! A man up my lane gave me advise when Katy was little & jumped up at people, he said to grab them by the paws & throw them to the ground on their backs Surprised I said you try it & you will be in the same position!!!!!
