Hi guy's

I've been told to give the dog cod liver oil for health benefits and all that, just wondering ()human grade cod liver oil capsule) how many per week would you give at the moment i'm feeding one 1ml capsule a week, your thoughts are much welcome

It's not something I've considered Channi but would think a low dose as you've suggested so as not to make loose motions. Also, I would think that there's only a finite amount that the body could absorbe and use effectively, the rest would just pass through.

be wary of cod liver oil its fatty and shouldnt be used too often

salmon oil is worth considering, dont let the price put you off as you need very little. its also good at reigniting an appetite if the dog has been off its food. one of the best benefits is the zinc content which alot of dry foods simply doesnt contain enough of which will help with skin and coat problems. another alternative that most dogs love is oily fish like mackerel once a week, great for joints, skin and coats. you just have to put up with fishy kisses for an hour or two Wink

defo +1 for salmon oil,makes there coat so shiny and helps with joints etc. a tea spoon a day is plenty

I use Yumega Plus and Coconut Oil, well worth it, works wonders for Zeus's coat and general well being.
