Extra muzzle attachment
Does anyone know if I can buy/where I can buy the little security strap some muzzles have that attach the muzzle to the collar? (So they can't pull it off). I like the muzzle I'm using and don't want to change it but would like the added security of the strap. Thanks!

Which muzzle are you using, Deb? Is there a gap or something you'll be able to attach a strap to?

Thanks Liz. It's a Trixie loop muzzle so I could put a strap at the back of the neck and attach it to the collar I believe.

Re: Extra muzzle attachment
I'm not sure how that would work. To keep them from pulling it off you really need the strap from the top and front of the muzzle, between the eyes, as a dog would pull down from the nose. That's where the Baskerville Ultra muzzle's strap is. I can't see how a strap behind the neck would make any difference.
Looking at the Trixie muzzle, though, you've got a D ring under the jaw, you could put a strap on that I guess, which might stop the muzzle coming forwards. Might it be worth just tying it with something like a shoe lace (or a piece of sparkly pink ribbon cause that would suit Axl down to the ground) to see if securing at that point would actually work?

Re: Extra muzzle attachment
I've always made my own and old lead snipped off a little up from the clip and then attached another clip to hold the muzzle to the collar.
