My Poor Poochies!!!!

Henry and Missy have been to the Vets this morning, Missy has been spaded, and Henry castrated, it awfull there soo sad they went in at 8Am and we picked them up about 3ish, And they came out with their Lampshades on, bumping into everything =( they've slept alot and eaten rice and a bit of food. We've given them lots of loving!!






I feel so helpless!!!!

Have you tried them without the lampshades... The vet offered me a lampshade for when Inca was spayed but i just wanted to see if she was interested in her stitches 1st and luckily she couldn't care less about them so i opted to do without the lampshade but if yours go for their stitches then best leave them on...

They look so sorry for themselves dont they...but its us that feels worse for putting them through it ha !!!

Missy looks really sore, but they seem okay about the cones tho, Henry had to have his off to eat but was okay with having it back on x

Awww. Hopefully they are back to there normal bright, energetic selves before you know it. It does break your heart to see them like that though. I'm sure they're milking it for all it's worth and loving the extra Love and attention they're getting. Hugs from me , and doggy kisses from Roxy.
Roxy was spayed last week, and was drowsy for about 24 hrs. Since then you would'nt even know that she had surgery. She did'nt have a "cone of shame" and has not been bothered with the wound or stitches in the slightest. We were told NO exersize and to keep her quiet for a week ( yeah.....right. Try telling a Staffy that ) but she's back to her usual hyper self. Stitches come out on Monday ...Yay

Henry has done nothing but whing if your not touching him, i think it really scared him.

ive managed to give them the pain meds and they've eaten today, so looks like cuddle time.

typically our car broke down last night so im house bound anyway lol xx

They're brill doing lots of relaxing, Missy wound seemed to be bleeding slightly earlier, must have just weeped a little =( looks like such a big poorly for my tiny girl. Henrys wound looks great =D I'm loving all the down time im getting too =D

Aww bless them!!! .. Vinne didnt have a lampshade on, vets said because they dont stitch outside they dont need them but if he was to start riffing at it to go back and they'll put one on .. he was fine.
Hope theyre better soon!

Awwww poor things, they'll be back to normal soon, dreading having Lola done, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Good on you.

They've just slept, I've kicked the OH out and my little lad is at his grandparents, they stay relaxed as long as I'm sat down!! as soon as I get up they follow me everywhere! (My Legs are already so bruised from bumping cones!!)

Looks like I'm here for the foreseeable future!!

Missy has taken it better than Henry good luck for Lola when you do have her done =D

awww they do look kind of cute though! again i didnt need a cone for Woody as he didnt go near his wound, you'd never have guessed he had surgery. im glad cos i guess it wouldve been a struggle to get the cone on!

Thanks everyone, they are great today back to their usual selves, ive had to take the cones off, Henry was desperate for a proper scratch, and it was making Missys neck sore =( but they've been brill without them to be honest. Im jus glad their not bashing into my legs any more =D xx

So glad they're doing well. It does'nt take long for them to bounce back. Hopefully the wounds / stitches will not bother them from here on, and it'll be smooth sailing.

Awww bless them both >< i had to leave Cairos cone on her head for 10 days I had no legs left,or much left of my furniture either,after she knocked into everything Hope they recover fast!

I took them for their follow up appointment today, all is well!! the vet wasnt too happy i'd took their cones off, or that i'd not attempted to put underpants on henry!!

Henry is his usual mental self again, the vet has nicknamed hin ''Nutter'' he caused chaos in the waiting room!

Missy is a very docile dog anyway but has been a bit snappy towards henry and extremely jealous if he gets more attention than her!!
