Be wary

I had the day off today so packed the OH & Flo into the car for a pub lunch and then a walk somewhere new. Looking on the map there was an area we hadn't been to before so chose that.

After a couple of wrong turns down narrow Surrey lanes, we found the woodland car park and pulled in. There were a few cars there so decided to park at the end where there was room when all of a sudden I had a sinking feeling... Literally!. The front wheels sank as far as the bumper and it would have gone deeper.

There was no way I could drive it out it was that deep. It turns out that although it looked like a firm place it was indeed a marsh of clay. A call to the AA was made and Flo got a good long walk with the OH while I waited to be towed out but in the process of being towed we snapped 3 ropes !!!

Moral of the story, if there are no cars parked in that bit of the woodland car park then there is probably a very good reason

Look at all that mud! Maybe next time park with all the the other cars

Honestly, you wouldn't believe the way it just sank up to the bumper but the ground looked completely fine

Awww no way! I would have got it out without ropes though lol. Make sure you give it a good once over so it hasn't shifted anything from its trauma.

I think it's lost a wheel balance weight but other than that it seems fine.

Just needed a good power hose

I bet Flo planned that just to have an extra long walk
