Jake's almost 7 months old (in 6 days) and he's grown, a LOT. I'm not sure how heavy he is right now, but last time he was around 16kg or so. He has a staff face but is taller and leaner (although I'm aware they only really bulk up with age).
Here's some recemt pictures of him!
Also, yeah he wears a halti lead because he is SO strong and pulls a lot, haven't been able to train it out of it yet, and the lead helps (plus he got used to it very fast).

Hmm.. His colour has thrown me off a little! Would love to see him fully grown, looks like he's going through a lanky phase.. Could say more when he's filled out

He's lovely, great markings. Hard to say really as he's only a baby but looking at his tail I'm guessing lurcher

I don't know your location, so it would depend on that. In UK I would say lurcher, but it is very rare if not impossible to get one with a red nose, and its not a staffy trait really either. I don't say this a lot but you might have some pit in there.

There are so many other breeds that produce that colouring, though. My dads lurcher has a red nose! I've also seen various mastiff crosses with red noses, mastiff/lurcher crosses especially can throw out these colours. Or even certain Collies. Looks nothing like a pit bull IMO.

Re: So, what kind of mix do you think he is?
Lots of dogs can. VERY fine dog inc coat to get that though, unless maybe the parent had a mastiff/collie in its genetics. Pits are very rare here so i doubt any of us have actually seen one, so can only go on what i have seen on my visits to other countires with pits. I agree there is a lot of lurcher in there, but lurchers are essentially crossbreeds so who knows what is in there.

Oh, I'm in the UK, so I very much doubt he has any pit in him. I don't really see lab, but a lurcher cross is quite possible! He does have a long/lean body when compared to a staffy.
His mother is definitely a very large looking staff (I think she was has american bulldog in her ancestry?), the father was supposedly a blue staff, but I didn't see him!

He could be a mix of multiple breeds, the dilutes also throw out some funny colours with breeding (my dad's fawn/fawn breeding of whippets produced a beautiful variety of livers, blues and brindles). I'd probably say post another pick at 18 months when fully grown, then we can see shape etc too. He looks really sweet though

This. I'd say he's probably a mix of breeds too - some sight hound looking at the tail, possibly lab, possibly lots of things. Pit bull? I can't see that and I certainly wouldn't be spending any time worrying about that one. And yes, I have seen some.

I see the obvious Staffy but really can't see any sign of pit (yes I too have seen the real thing). Lurcher, whippet or even greyhound possibly but as already mentioned he's going through that lanky stage so it will be nice to see him when he's a little older and more filled out
