How often do you clean your dogs ears?
Muggle had her first birthday 2 days ago and I've never actually cleaned her ears. Just noticed today they're looking a bit dirty...

Only occasionally. I think I've probably cleaned them about 2 or 3 times at the most. But then with pricked ears they tend not to get too clogged.

They're looking pretty mucky (probably a result of spending your life on your back rolling about in dirt) so I think I'll give them a clean over the weekend. Any suggestions as to how best go about it?

Warm olive oil on a cotton wool wad (or boiled & cooled water). Just the bits of the ear you can see - don't dig into the ear canal.

We clean Suki's every week. We didn't crop her ears so they get dirty. We clean them during bathtime with a soft rag soaked in warm water. This is the only time she will let us near them.

we clean Mambo's ears almost every day but that's because he's got an infection (it's almost healed now). he HATES it and always tries to run away
