Staffy Seizures Empty Staffy Seizures

Post by Barry G Wed Dec 30 2015, 13:07

Hi im new to the group and just needed to talk. We lost our beautiful Molly earlier this year at 13 years of age with cancer, four months after she had a big operation to remove it. We also have one of her sons Frankie who has missed his mum like mad, Frankie is 11 and last week whilst i had him in my showroom at work he had a massive seizure which shook me to the core, he went on to have three more through the day and we had him admitted to the willows vet hospital in Northwich, hes been on meds for the last week which has left us traumatized as our boy has been falling over everywhere and wetting himself, we honestly thought it must be a tumor and took him back the vets last Sunday thinking we where going to lose him !! The vet said i think his meds might be affecting him , so we have lowered them and hes been a bit better than he was. we have booked him in for an MRI on the 4th of Jan to see what the underlying problems are. Was just wondering if anyone else had and issues like this.

Oh, I'm so sorry to read this. Our beloved Mungo (golden retriever) started having fits when he was about 10. I'm afraid the ending wasn't good. I do hope you have more success. Fingers firmly crossed for you.
