New puppy.
Hi everyone. I have a 3 year old boy, Who gets very lonely when I go to work and my children go to school. So a little over a year ago I decided that I would look for a little bitch and finally I found her and pick her up Xmas eve. Now iv googled it and got loads of different advice I'm just wondering if some one could advise me how to introduce them the first time

Re: New puppy.
Hi there, welcome to the forum
The first introduction should be away from the home on neutral territory. I assume that your new addition is a puppy so you'll need to watch them carefully at first and not leave them alone together to begin with.
Once you're happy that they get along then you can ease up on the caution. In the early days you might want to consider giving your boy some time away from the pup as they can be quiet tiresome with all that puppy play.
I'm sure others with more experience will gladly offer more advice.

Re: New puppy.
As I've just said to someone else, older dogs are amazingly good at pitching things right with puppies so it's generally less of a worry that we think it will be. However, Ian's right that introductions should be well supervised, and you'll need to think about things like finding your pup a 'time out' place where you can put her for some quiet time - you might find both of them are quite excited and forget that they need to stop playing!

Just make a place for the dog to escape to and just monitor the body language between dog and pup.
