sore neck !
Hi,
My two year old has a continually sore place on her throat. In May she was prescribed a course of antibiotics and Isaderm cream which worked ! However, over the last week the problem has returned and the vet has done a skin scrape which is not showing any presence of parasites. As a result we have another course of antibiotics and more Isaderm.
Is this a common problem for Staffies ? I would be grateful for any suggestions at this point.
with very grateful thanks...in advance !!!!

Re: sore neck !
Hi ya, welcome to the Forum
I wouldn't say this is an issue for Staffies in particular. Is she scratching to make it sore ?
One of our Admins use a really good cream, I'll see if I can dig out the name of it before he gets a reply on here for you.

Re: sore neck !
Here is what he uses and said "neosporin, but it would only help in healing not preventing"
Might be worth trying once the sore has closed over.

Re: sore neck !
Neosporin does work very well. Do you know what is causing the sore? Are you walking her in a new area before the sore first appears? Perhaps somewhere that has allot of pollen or other allergin she is exposed to?

Re: sore neck !
If you use a collar and the sore is in this area id use a harness until the sore clears also.
