Hello there, I’m Zack, and I’d like to tell you a bit about myself because my life has been quite eventful lately!  I’m not sure why, but I found myself in a pound. They are not very nice places, you know; I didn’t get to go out for a walk for four months, which is such a long time without a walk.  They fed me there of course, but us dogs need a walk now and then, don’t you agree?

The thing is, all the time I was there, my owner knew I was there, but he was too busy to come and get me. I did hope he would come, but he obviously couldn’t, so eventually I gave up hope.

Then one day just a couple of weeks ago a nice lady came and looked at me and I thought maybe she was going to take me out - she didn’t.  But she did come back the next day and took me to a place called ‘The Vets’ where they stuck some spiky things in me and I got to go for a walk, yay! I pulled sooo much on my lead because I was so happy to be out for the first time in ages.

When we got back to the pound, the lady told me ‘I am going to get you out of here!’, and do you know what?? She did!!

A couple of weeks later, after yet another visit to ‘The Vets’, I got taken to the Senior Staffy Club kennels!  They’re very nice, warm and dry, with soft beds and toys to chew, but best of all, I get taken for a walk every single day. Of course it’s not as good as having your very own home and sofa and hooman, but it‘s a lot better then that nasty pound place.

I am about 9 years old I think now. I haven’t had many cuddles for a few years, so I’ve sort of forgotten how to cuddle, but my SSC friends here seem to like to cuddle me, I think I am going to like it!

I would like to find a new home so I can finally give up pounds and kennels; I’d like one without other pets, so I can have all the attention to myself that I have missed out on over the past few years.

Oh, I’m a bit thin at the moment but I’m hoping some more of those treats will come my way to fatten me up a bit! I’m a brindle boy and my face is going a bit frosty. I do smile a lot now, but if one of my walkers points a camera at me, I put my mournful face on cos then someone might feel sorry for me and give me a home!

In case you haven’t noticed yet, I do love to go for a walk! I need to make up for lost time, you see. I’ve stopped pulling on my lead as well, cos did I tell you I get to go for a walk every single day!!

So if you’d like to take me home and take me out for lots of walks, you can ask Senior Staffy… if you ask nicely, they might let you adopt me!

Zack is neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped. He is in kennels in the Stafford area but can be re-homed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit.
However any adopter should be willing to travel to meet him where he is now.
There is an adoption donation of £90 for Zack and all money donated goes directly to helping all the Senior Staffies in our care.
