Milo on group walkie
As you may know - I've not been confident enough to let Milo run free on the park in case he gets into 'trouble' etc., which makes me feel really mean as he doesn't get good exercise. Well, I found this lovely dog walker, Debby who invited me to walk Milo with her and her pack for an hour in the fields near where I live. He was such a good boy considering he didn't know any of the the dogs, there was seven in total - 5 big dogs and 2 Pugs. He was worn out in the first 10 minutes of charging around over ploughed fields. I was quite anxious but didn't let it show too much. No aggression shown - phew. The only time he was 'told off' by a black lab was at the end when they all went into a stream together maybe got too excited and there was loud growling and barking amongst them with Milo in the centre of it all but we shouted 'OY' and it stopped straight away. So yes, all in all very pleased with him.

That's wonderful! I'm so jealous of you both! I'd love to do that, sounds like you all had a great time. Well done you on being calm and not worrying. Milo is a lucky pup making so many new friends.

I kept as calm as possible but still an underlying worry as always that he will retaliate if another dog has a go. Luckily there wasn't any nasty ones. He does however have a tendancy to chase little dogs and bullies them a bit which I don't like. I definitely have to work on his recall away from other dogs and back to me. On the whole tho very pleased with him.

Aww Mistys mum - I've been wanting to do this for such a long time. It was only by ringing this dog walking lady, explaing the problem that I had was with my confidence and not a problem with the dog, that she suggested I bring him along for a walk with her. Naturally she insisted that she meet him first at my house which I wanted her to do anyway.
She's told me that I can walk with her and her pack any time - no charge - perfect
Why not look on google for dog walkers in your area and ring them like I did. She was only too pleased to help. Good luck.

Yes but he still has a lot to learn about manners. Her dogs are very good at telling him off lol.
I have an exciting day booked next week on a 'leader of the pack' day - see link. It sounds fun & should do him and more importantly ME good as I think its mainly the owner who needs to be taught sometimes
