Just rescued a staffy and advice needed.
Just rescued a staffy 3 days ago. The house i got him from was the worst i've seen and the staffy smelt of pee and poo so i just had to save him. As soon as i got him home gave him a bath and i have never seen bath water so dirty in my life. Once bathed and fed a walk in the park with charlie (the staffy) and my daughter.
Now my question:
Charlie is 2 years old and was fed on Wagg i've read a few bad reviews about Wagg so i am going to change his food to Wainwright's Adult Complete Dog Food.
This is the product i am looking into getting him:
Wainwright's Adult Complete Dog Food with Salmon and Potato
and
Wainwright's Adult Complete Dog Food with Duck and Rice
Now is it ok to switch between the 2 now and then or is it better to stick with just 1 flavour? I was going to give him the Duck and Rice for 2 or 3 days then the Salmon and Potato for 2 or 3 days and then go back to the Duck and Rice. Or is it better to stick with just one flavour?
Thanks for your advice.

Re: Just rescued a staffy and advice needed.
Welcome to the forum from Misty and me. Charlie is a gorgeous boy! Well done on giving him a home where he will be looked after. With regards to the food I changed Mistys food when we first got her as she was on Bakers and I put her on Wainwrights. I used to buy the big bags and just change her flavors for each meal as I didn't want her getting bored by having the same flavor every meal and that worked well for me.

When you initially change the food do it gradually over about a week if you want to avoid gas a poo issues. Once changed over switching flavors won't be an issue. Well done on the rescue

Re: Just rescued a staffy and advice needed.
Hi ya, welcome to the forum & well done on the rescue
I feed my girl Wainwrights but feed half a tin topped off with kibble for dinner and just kibble for breakfast. We mix the tins so that she has a change every day but buy the med sized bag of kibble and stick with that until it's used up.
You can mix and match as much as you like really but I would steer clear of the fish kibble and fish tin in the same meal... A little to fishy for my girl

Aw god Yh!! Found out that if Marley isn't fussed on a flavour even if opened you can return it and swap it which is good

Hi from me & Katy, well done on rescuing Charlie, as said there is no problem changing food as long as is gradually. Katy was on Bakers when I got her, she's been on Wainwrights ever since. I buy the 2kg bags & always have 2 flavours so she doesn't get bored
