Harley looking lean
Hi there,
So Harley is 9 months and recently seems to have lost a bit of weight, you can see his ribs and slightly see his spine which I've heard isn't good. He recently had a check up at the vets and they said he was looking healthy but personally I would like him to put a bit more weight on.
At the moment we are feeding him Burns Adult kibble twice a day using the recommended daily amounts, but was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips. I'd like to feed him some non kibble food but I'm not sure where to start (mostly with amounts/portion sizes).
It's only been a recent thing that he's looked a bit thin, and I know he's still growing but any advice would be much appreciated, thanks.

To me he looks ideal, and in great shape. You could feed sardines, scrambled egg, or some extra treats for training. We use a food dehydrator to make fish, chicken, and steak snacks.

Thanks for the reply! I'm happy to hear you think that he's in great shape, he gets lots of walks and is super active which is good, and perhaps it is just us worrying a little too much. But we are still wanting to give him better food, so thank you for the tips there too! I've been thinking of switching him to a raw diet, as I saw some interesting discussions on Nature's Menu frozen raw food in here and looks good.

RAW is a great way to go and very healthy. He should start to fill out width wise at about 12 months of age.

Re: Harley looking lean
Nature's menu is a really good frozen raw food. I give the country hunter frozen nuggets and tins to my girl as she went off her dry food even though we tried her on different types of kibble she just got bored but now she's on nature's menu she cries when we are preparing it for her and starts jumping up to try to get it. She absolutely loves it and it's grain and cereal free. Harley is so beautiful, maybe he could put on a bit of weight but he is still beautiful and like Jstaff says he will start to fill out.
