Advice on growth on dogs head please?
Hi, would anybody know what this growth is that keeps appearing on my dogs head is? any help would be much appreciated, thanks

havent been to vets yet mate but funnily enough as ive posted this it has dropped off her head

When you say dropped off was it a scab from scratching ?
If that's all it is then fine but if it keeps returning get a vet opinion.

no mate not a scab, its like a thin twig, its basically dried off and dropped off but the root of it is still attached to her head

I wonder if it's a tick of some sort or something similar. Probably best get a vet give it the once over to be safe. Let us know what you find out. Certainly not something I've seen before

Sounds like some sort of critter to me if it keeps coming back & its attached. Vets would be the best idea Would be very interested to find out what it is!

Could well be a cutaneous horn. If it is then it's probably not a big deal but you need to see the vet immediately to get it properly diagnosed.
