Re: Insurance and update on cody xx
Good news the scratchings better as for the toys, well, welcome to the wonderful world of Staffies
Insurance in my mind is a must considering my Flo has cost me about £5000 in vet bills because we were between insurances and hadn't renewed. I know some people put the premiums into an account as you've suggested and when there is a good amount in there there's no worries so it really is a personal preference but one I'm sure others will have a view on.
Here's a link to the insurance section here, it'll give you some ideas:-

Re: Insurance and update on cody xx
I used to be with pet plan but they kept putting up their prices even though I had never claimed! I'm now with animal friends and pay £12.50 a month. Again, have never had to claim so can't say how they have been regarding that, but I've read all good reviews
Sounds like he's coming on well

Thanks for that Rachel, i have been considering getting insurance for Maya. Got 4 free weeks with the puppy pack from the vets, but when that expires i think i will use animal friends.
Here`s the link for Cody as well. https://www.animalfriends.org.uk/dog-insurance/?infinity=gaw~Brand~ins~70875496483~animal%20friends%20insurance~e&gclid=CjwKEAjw8qetBRCj6vKH8IC_kwoSJADGQ8dSiA-AtNbRLHS1z3F7QC1GpK9DR7nHWd54iP51MqOLuxoC9nfw_wcB

They've got great reviews and give to animal charities too - so it's a win win really

I'm with Animal Friends and whilst I've never claimed (touch wood) so I can't say how effective it is, it costs £22.75 per month for the Superior Plus option, which has a £4K annual condition limit.

I just had a look at the petplan policy, and to be honest for the price, the Animal Friends cover is just as good, if not better.

Crystal the 4 breeds covered under the 91 DDA are the Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino and
Fila Braziliero. These have to have specialist insurance. I've never known an insurance policy not to cover Staffs - they're no different to a Labrador legally.
