Importing a puppy

Hi i'm hoping for some help. I have 2 fabolous staffies and we have decided to get a 3rd and try and show him or her. So after looking on champdogs etc decided to perhaps go abroad.

We have found what looks like a really good breeder in Poland who comes with some very high reviews (including the breeder we had our baby girl from). So I have started to look into what is involved.....WOW

I am waiting for a a lady to get back to me who actually imported from this breeder only last yr and lives only 40 miles away but whilst waiting I have checked. This was a reply I got this morning from a pet carrier.

Thank you for your enquiry and the opportunity provide you with a cost. Unfortunately in this instance we will not be able to provide a rate for you as our airline carriers classify bull terriers as a dangerous breed and will not accept them for transport.

So if anybody has imported a puppy I would really appreciate a message so I can pick your brains as I would like to do this but if it turns out to be too difficult I will search UK

Hi ya Steve, welcome to the forum. We used to have a regular forum member that's flown their Staffy across continents let alone a short route so yes, it can be done quiet easily. I would imagine that it's just that carrier that doesn't take them.
