Anyone know how I can crate train my 7 week old pup? She's been brought up in a crate with her mum (she was in a crate when I collected her) when I leave the house I put her in the crate and my other dog has free run of the bedroom! But when I leave she proper squeals the house down! Which makes my other dog bark!

I don't understand why she's like this if she was brought up in a crate? Is she like this because she was with 3 other pups before?

I think she feels alone, 7 weeks is a bit early to have left her mum, id try leaving a radio on and something of yours in the crate that has your smell on. Smile

The mum was being too rough with her and hurting them, my mum has the sister too. I have a double duvet in there for her that was mine but it doesn't interest her! I'll just have to keep putting her in there for 10/15 minutes whilst I'm in the house

A blanket left over the crate may help as well.

I cover buddys crate so he knows its time to sleep-if I leave the cover off he knows he can play and watch what is going on, another thing you can try, - haven't done it with buddy but have with another pup - get a hot water bottle with warm water and wrap one of your t shirts round it - put it in the crate and just before you put her in take the bottle out -leave the t shirt in , she will then feel the warmth of the bottle and your smell - add this to covering the crate and she will feel all snuggly and safe as if she was on your lap , or with her mum - which you now are Smile.. helped me before when another pup I had used to pine when first left ..might help
