What ages do you think are the most challenging with Staffies under a year? As a first-time puppy parent with a 6-month-old pup, I am curious to learn from other Staffie owners about their experiences.

For me personally Mia is only 5months but between 12weeks & 14weeks was toughest so far just the continuous biting & nibbling

Our little Eco has just discovered that books make for fabulous chew toys...turn my back for a second! She is teething like crazy, so can't blame her. She is definitely starting to try and explore more. She is starting to realise that things exist on top of tables that need to be pulled off Smile

Rubys nearly 8 mths now, i think as a baby it was the biting, and picking up all sorts of things to eat making herself sick (she still does it) we have to watch her all the time grabbing things from soft toy to socks, finding all sorts of things outside lol!!

Harley was a little crocodile till about 14 weeks this was quite challenging but at about 6-8 months he did go through a phase of being naughty again but now at 10 months he seems to be listening more and is much better Smile

Maisie is now 5 & 1/2 months, She was very challenging around 14 weeks chewing everything even £20 notes (her dad wasn't very happy) me on the otherhand found it rather funny. Shes not as bad now and knows what shes meant to chew and what not too - well sometimes. My first staffy & pup too so learning everyday - think the hardest challenge is not taking her to the vets everytime she looks a tad off colour - my partner helps me with that one! Im a bit of a stress head

Buddy is 13 weeks this Friday and is soooo naughty .. he will eat anything is constantly trying to nip at you -and if it is on the floor it is his ! and everything has to be done at 100 miles an hour if only he had a pause button !! have had puppies before but not a staffy - they certainly push the limits..he knows he is doing wrong because he gives me the "you know you love me really look" when I tell him off! I know he will get better as he gets older
they are great characters , he knows I cant stay angry with him for too long! Smile

I think early on, 8 wks - 4/5 months when he was a small alligator, thief of anything & everything, and up during the night. Then again around 14 months when he started exercising his authority before learning he was last in the 'boss line' Laughing

It is entirely your decision about spaying most people wait until after the first or second season to give your dog a chance to mature. Smile
