Who picked who?
When you first met? I would say me and Bug chose eachother - we had 86 Staffies in the centre when Bug was brought in, and she was on the list to be PTS due to her behaviour. I wasn't in the position to have a dog, and she certainly wasn't "rehomeable" on arrival, but something about her just took my heart. After about a month I was the only person that she would let into her kennel (after lots of work!) and we bonded very strongly. And that was that... 3 years later she's asleep on my lap and I'm completely in love!

Re: Who picked who?
With Nola it wasn't a case of choosing - I went to meet her with Harley, the lurcher we had then - and they couldn't shove her lead into my hand fast enough!
Chaos - I think he chose us. I knew he was for us the moment I saw him but he had to work to win his daddy over. So he did all the things George would fall for, and it worked!
Millie - not really a choice, our foster pup.

Ruby was the only red one left in the litter and that was it I wanted a red bitch so easy decision.
She was born in rescue and at 10 weeks old I met her, which was heartbreaking. The adoption visit was completed the following day and I brought her home just 2 days after I first saw her. best decision I made!

Re: Who picked who?
I found Misty online, I was looking for a pure staff pup ideally with Kc papers , registered breeder etc etc. I don't even know why I clicked the link as it was a website that I know isn't the best and people can say whatever they want just to get rid of their dog. When I saw her picture that was it. I couldn't believe she would still be available, I was in love with her. I rang hubby and told him to look at her, we made an appointment for the next day. The owner told us all her issues. I spent the whole day at work just looking at her picture. The next day when we went round she was so gorgeous, very very hyper but we knew that would change with better food and a quiet environment. We worried she might be upset in the car as what was meant to be a one hour trip home took nearly four, but she was so sweet, we sat in the back together and just cuddled. She is the best thing to ever happen to us. Love her with all my heart.

Re: Who picked who?
On our second visit to Battersea with the firm "We are just looking" Flo kinda chose us. It's odd how you keep getting drawn back to the things you like and that's what happened with us and Flo. There were so many Dogs to see but the moment we met Flo I knew she was coming home with us.
We met her in the meeting room and she was such a minx getting up on the table to reach the treat box and then when we took her for a walk in the yard, well, it was the easiest decision ever. When they asked us when we wanted to take her I said now not even thinking about it being a Bank Holiday
It took us a while to figure out what she can hear etc but she fitted in really quickly and is loved by everyone that she meets.
So who chose who.... I think she chose us to be honest

Re: Who picked who?
More of a mutual thing for us. We chose Suki out of about 30 pups. She sat there looking at us and was very calm. Most of the other pups were overly excited or shy. When we first put her on a lead she took a few steps and looked up at us, took another few steps and looked up again. She also jumped right up into the car and went to sleep.

Re: Who picked who?
Bo picked me. The breeder had two pups, a brother and sister, and over the phone I said I was interested in the female. When I went down to see them the first time both were lovely pups, but the first thing Bo did when he saw me was wag his tail then sit at my feet with his back to me. The breeder said he'd never done that before with anybody, so I changed my mind then and there.

Re: Who picked who?
We chose Theia as a 4 week old and only had two girls to choose from. So it was a 50/50 choice really and we're more than happy with our decision.

Re: Who picked who?
Long story leading up to it but sitting in a litter of pups one wouldn't leave me alone. My eye was taken by a chunky bi eyed stunner but this little ball of fluff kept crawling up me and licking my face. gave him a stroke and he chunnerd and fell asleep on my chest. the guy who owned them just said forget it mate you've been picked and yes I had, 2 long weeks later I was heading home with Marley and the best thing that ever happened to me. Laska was a similar situation except she ran up and sank her teeth into me, typical of her but such a loving loyal dog now. think she just wanted to be noticed lol

Re: Who picked who?
We chose each other I think. Milo was at foster carers and we saw each other through their back gate. He jumped up me and had a good ole stretch it was so adorable.
