Does this sound about right.. Harleys weight
Hi everyone, I was taking a photo of Harleys new collar on him and when I looked at the picture I was abit worried his ribs were sticking out and that he looked a bit thin. He does get two 45 min walks a day and I do like to keep him fit.
If its helps he is KC reg and is 16kg and is 9.5 months old does this seem about right? also he is about 15 at the shoulder thanks
here's the pic

Looks to be in good shape to me. Don't worry about weight though going by looks is much better.

He looks a little on the slimmer side but by no means is underweight. You also have to remember, he's still a pup, Zeus was going through all sorts of phases when he was growing.. at times, he seemed very leggy, at times he seemed thin, other times he seemed short and stumpy..
16kg at 9.5 months old is pretty good so don't worry too much.
Always remember though, in the coming summer months, if you exercise him more than usual, feed him a little more than usual. I always up Zeus's food in the summer as I'm taking him to the park constantly and then I bring it back down in Winter due to the decrease in exercise.

I agree. You should be able to feel but not see ribs, which look like what you've got. So many dogs are overweight because we're used to seeing 'rounded' figures, but slim with a waist is much better for health. Whatever you're doing, keep on doing it!

He looks good to me today, my millie looks slimmer than him so I wouldn't worry about you thinking he looks thin as the vet said my millie looks good
