showing aggression to new puppy
What can I do?
It's not general grumpiness/growling he has went for him a couple times. I don't know what to do.
My 3 year old towards 10 week old.

Re: showing aggression to new puppy
Hello! Is he usually good with other dogs? Are they same sex or opposite sex? Is there any trigger for the aggression?

Re: showing aggression to new puppy
Not really.
When the puppy sniffs him/ggoes near him head first, or when the puppy comes to me/kkids/partner.
They are both males.
He is funny, some dogs he's ok with and some he is not

Hm. Is he entire? Has he ever had another dog come into the house before?

Re: showing aggression to new puppy
He's had the snip.
Never into this house before, no, we have went to my mums house a couple years ago who has a male collie, for the most part they were alright. He was 6 months when we got him and lived with 11 other dogs, but I think he must of been in his crate most the time as he has never been sure of dogs, we went to dig training classes and we stopped going as he bit another dogs ear (other dogs fault as it tried to Pinch his toy) and the way all the humans were with us after was horrible and we no longer felt welcome

Re: showing aggression to new puppy
It's a shame you got that reaction at the classes but not unfamiliar
Slow introductions to begin with so that the puppy doesn't seem a threat. Also, make sure the puppy isn't shown more attention than your other as this will surely provoke jealousy (easier said than done with a puppy I know)

Excellent advice. Also keep them in the same room on a lead for increasing periods of time
