I love how little children are so unaware of the staffy stigma - well before their parents pick them up and cross the road anyway! Bug went on a little lead walk with Fred this morning and we saw a few little children, all of which went "ooh doggy!" One even said "ooh doggy and kitty!!" Hahaha poor Fred. They didn't seem at all scared, and luckily their parents were pretty chilled about it too. Makes such a difference! Positive morning Smile

Admittedly the other week was a bit uneasy as a bulldog was coming toward us then i seen her back end wiggling furiously i laughed with relief afterward never had the same feeling coming across a staffy.

Suki loves little kids too. Sadly here most of them are scared of her.

I had that happen last night, a kid about 10 came past giving Stanley the evil eye like he was about to rip her to shreds, all he was doing was eating grass, I wouldn't have minded so much but her mother had a great big black pseudo pit bull type dog on the thinnest of extension leads blocking our way.

I love the way little people have no preconceived ideas of breed. Because Flo has her "Deaf" vest, we get an awful lot of youngsters wanting to say Hi and Flo either simply stands there tail wagging or sits down with her head up high for stroking Big Grin

Go Flo Love Struck

We do get a mixture with kids, some ask if they allowed to pet Pixee, Pixee is good with children. We always say, only if your parents are ok with it, to which they have been when they are asked. (They are also shocked they are asked) Others shout 'stay away its a killer dog' to which hubby if hes about always say which one Laughing

Aww poor Fred indeed, Vin also adores little ones but as said they are usually swept up and cross the road at the sight of the big grey tank approaching! Laughing

Haha poor Fred! Laughing

It's funny when kids come to pet Bane, he's only usually approached by others with dogs so he is so interested in the dog, he doesn't even look at the kids. Feel a bit sorry for them cos they're so eager to get his attention and he doesn't give a poop they are there Laughing

Bo is pretty boisterous, a bit rough for young kids, but he means well and everybody likes him. We passed an old couple today, in their 80s, who eyed him a bit suspiciously then made coo-ing noises when he lay down and smiled at them. As we were walking away I heard the bloke say to his wife, "It makes the difference, doesn't it? You can see he's so friendly, you have to wonder if what you read about them in the papers is all true."

I was in the pet shop today and a little girl came over to pet Nita who lapped it up (the petting not the child). She has also played with a little lad in the park which both of them enjoyed.
