Back again

I'm not new but haven't been on for almost a year so thought I'd reintroduce myself..

So a little update..Casper is doing well..the only issue I have with him is that he still jumps at people (me included), so I am working on this with him at the moment. I'm currently trying the ignore technique after realising that giving him treats for sitting only worked until he had been given the treat, then he'd be straight back to jumping until again told to sit then again rewarded (see my mistake in underestimating how switched on he is!?). So the ignoring is showing promise but that may be just because it's a new thing and has thrown him slightly. Time will tell!

Hi from us! Something else to try with the jumping up is to walk into the dog. We tend to back away, with ends up bringing the dog into you more. If you walk into him it will push him off and make jumping up less pleasant.
