wetherspoons pubs

now some of you may not be in favour of these large chain pubs but if one should be opening near you always look out for the opening date as they have a brilliant staff training programme....................no not for you to go and get jobs but because as part of the training they serve real life people...........................for free!!!!

my mum noticed a queue last week outside the one opening near us next week and realised it couldnt be for jobs as their was a number of quite elderlies in the queue.my nan asked one queuer what was going on and was advised vouchers for free meals the following weekend (this weekend). as they were quite late they only managed breakfast vouchers so today i have been for a very large breakfast and 2 free drinks (one of which was a pint cos it wouldve been rude not to). cracking start to the weekend!

yea they just open one up near me and my mum friend had 5 drinks plus food for free she asked my mum but she just had a op on her broken arm so she couldn't go.

i didnt steve, no. defo good publicity though isnt it. was funny to watch too as they were also outside asking people in for free drinks and people didnt believe them - they were having to convince them there was no catch!

i know if i knew i would of went free meal and drinks but it was only for 3 hours in notts i'm not sure if it was the same for u?!??!

i know alot of people call them but everytime i have been i've been pretty happy with the food and drinks but i'm common lol

we must be harder to convince or harder to train as its for 3 days here. breakfast lunch and evening meal!!!!

I hate 'spoons' but for a free drink I'll go anywhere Hope the food/drink is better that the one here though Xx

well mrs janey you goto these fancy places it will be rubbish for you!!

to be fair ive very rarely had a bad meal in ones round here and the drinks prices cannot be sniffed at.

yeh steve i think i may have to just wander past tomorrow and see if i get offered free drinks vouchers!!!

We've got 4 or 5 wetherspoons down here and they're all really nice. My hubby absolutely hates them but I love them. The prices are good, the food is always nice and they're very child friendly

i dont really go out to eat, i only do it once or twice a year i'm really not a fussy person if the beer teste nice & they got chill con carne then i'm happy
