When do they become a dog and not a puppy?

Harrie is coming up for her 1st birthday soon and I was wandering what is the age that they are not puppies and move onto being an adult dog?

I'd say about now Stu. We put Theia on adult food about 2 weeks before her 1st birthday.

They become adolescents at 6 months old - this can last until they're 18 months when they move into proper adults. I always moved pups to adult food after 6 months when I worked in kennels. Their growth stages are so speedy, they're really not puppies for very long.

If you are referring to tempermant I would say that is dependant on the individual dog. They do all go through a teenage phase which is ususally after the first year where they seem to forget most of their training and wnat to push their boundaries

i would say any thing from 12-18 months but mentally they never grow up

I put her on adult food a few months back after she had a taste test of the Black Hawk food and loved it.

Looks like we can stretch the puppy thing out a bit longer

Mia still acts like a puppy thays what i love staffys for

I think we need some recent pics of Harrie to judge whether she's still a puppy myself
